Q - What is data repository reporting?
Data Repository Reporting allows you to generate a report showing the current status of your Data Repository, including a full list of files within each selected section.
You can generate the report from:
Your Company Dashboard, or
Directly within the Data Repository module
or
Once generated, the report opens as a detailed PDF (the on-screen preview is a thumbnail version).
Q: Can I run a report for a single section?
Yes. Within the Repository Index, you can tick or untick the sections you want included in the report before generating it.
Q: Can I print the report?
Yes. Reports are available as a PDF download, which you can save and print locally.
Q: Does the report include file details?
Yes. The report lists all files within each selected section of the Data Repository.
Q: Can I export the report in formats other than PDF?
No. Reports are currently only available in PDF format.
Q: How often can I generate reports?
You can generate reports at any time, as often as required. There is no restriction on frequency.
Q: Can I compare multiple reports?
There is no automated comparison feature. If you wish to compare reports, this must be done manually.
Q: Is there a file size limit for reports?
No specified limit. However, larger repositories with many files may result in larger PDF files.
Q: Does the report include audit logs?
No. The Data Repository Report lists files only.
For tracking changes and user actions, refer to the Audit Log within each module.
Q: Can I automate report generation?
No. Reports must be generated manually each time.
Q: How do I access the report after generating it?
Once generated, the report is immediately available for download as a PDF.
Q: Can reports be shared externally?
Yes. After downloading the PDF, you can share it manually with advisors, investors, or other stakeholders.
Q: Is Data Repository Reporting available on all plans?
Reporting is available on Lite and Pro plans.
Q: Does the report show file permissions?
No. The report lists files but does not display user permissions.
Q: What happens if the repository is updated after report generation?
Reports reflect the state of the repository at the time they are generated.
If changes are made afterwards, you will need to generate a new report to reflect those updates.
Troubleshooting FAQs – Data Repository Reporting
Q: Why can’t I generate a Data Repository report?
Ensure:
You have the necessary user permissions.
The Data Repository is accessible.
Your internet connection is stable.
If the issue persists, refresh the page or contact support.
Q: Can I generate a workflow report for my Data Repository?
No.
The reporting function lists files only. Workflow reporting is not supported.
Q: Why is my report taking a long time to generate?
Large repositories with many files may take longer to process.
Ensure you have a stable internet connection and allow the system time to complete the generation.
Q: Why can’t I select individual sections for the report?
Ensure:
The sections exist in your Repository Index.
The sections are accessible under your user permissions.
If necessary, reload the Repository Index and try again.
Q: The report I generated is blank. What should I do?
Confirm that:
The selected sections contain files.
Files have been properly saved within those sections.
If the issue persists, regenerate the report or contact support.
Q: Why can’t I find the download button after generating a report?
The download option should appear immediately after generation.
If not:
Refresh the page.
Regenerate the report.
Q: I can’t open the downloaded PDF. What should I do?
Ensure you have a PDF reader installed.
If the file appears corrupted, regenerate and download the report again.
Q: Why doesn’t the report reflect recent changes?
Reports capture the repository’s state at the time of generation.
Generate a new report to include recent updates.
Q: I downloaded the wrong report. Can I regenerate it?
Yes. You can run the report again and download the correct version.
Q: Can the report format be customised?
No. Reports follow a standardised format and cannot currently be customised.
Q: Why are some files missing from the report?
Ensure:
All files were saved correctly.
Files are located in the selected sections.
The correct sections were ticked before generating the report.
Q: I can’t print the report. What should I do?
Check:
Your printer settings.
That the PDF downloaded correctly.
You may also try opening the file in a different PDF reader.
Q: Can I generate reports for multiple companies at once?
No. Reports must be generated individually for each company.
Q: Why does the PDF show an error when opened?
The download may not have completed correctly. Regenerate and download the report again.
Q: Can I include metadata in the report?
No. The current report format does not support metadata inclusion.
Q: Why can’t I share the report directly from the platform?
Reports must first be downloaded and then shared manually.
Q: Why can’t I compare reports on the platform?
Automated comparison is not supported. Reports must be compared manually.
