Welcome to Dispel!

This document discusses what VDI-User is, what the user flow looks like, and what information you should already know to get started.

If you already know what you want to do and are looking for step-by-step how to guides, please refer to one of the following articles:

In this article, you will find:

What is a VDI-User?

A VDI-User is a user who can access Dispel only through a Virtual Desktop (VDI).

Note: Unlike normal Users, VDI-Users are not able to access Dispel through any means other than the Virtual Desktop they are assigned. For example, even if a VDI-User has the Dispel Application natively downloaded, their credentials will not work. Login will only work through the Virtual Desktop registered to them.

What does using Dispel as a VDI-User look like?

Bullet Point Overview

  1. Log in to the Dispel Console

  2. Retrieve VDI credentials

  3. Connect to the VDI

  4. Use the VDI like a normal computer

  5. Destroy the VDI after job is finished

  6. The next day, repeat and receive a fresh set of VDI credentials

Note: at any point, your administrator is able to destroy your VDI.
