Overview
For security reasons, there is no way to re-display your original QR code or text secret. In order to switch your TOTP to a new device or app, you must disable your current TOTP and then re-enable it to obtain a new text secret.
Disabling MFA
Log into the Dispel Dashboard using your old MFA device.
Navigate to
Account Settingsby clicking on your initials in the top left of the Dashboard.
Scroll down to the
Multi-factor authenticationsection at the bottom of the page. SelectDisablebesideMFA device. If your organization enforces MFA, you will be prompted to set up MFA.If your MFA is currently set up with a device, this section will be labeled with the green
ENABLEDpill.If your MFA is successfully disabled, you will see a gray
DISABLEDpill within this section.
