Pre-Requisite
You will need an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Duo, or one-password for this. Dispel can integrate with any TOTP tool! The most common download links are listed below.
Configure Your MFA
On the dispel console, navigate to the
Account Settingspage by clicking on the account bubble and thenAccount settings.
Click "Set up" under the Authenticator app section near the bottom of the page.
Save your recovery codes in a safe place
The
download as .txt documentbutton will save the codes to a text document on your local machineAlternatively you can use the
copy to clipboardbutton and paste them somewhere safe of your choosing.
Scan the QR code or provide the text secret to your authenticator app of choice.
Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app in the provided box, and click
Set up authenticator app.
You will be met with a success page, and your authenticator will be enabled. On your next login you will be prompted for the 6-digit code from you authenticator app.
💡Why do I have a password challenge when I want to add MFA?
Sometimes, when you've been logged in for a while and try to add MFA, we ask you to re-enter your password. This extra step is to ensure that you are still you, as opposed to some random person who found a computer with your Dispel account logged in.
