Welcome to Step 2 of your Okta + Dispel integration!
This article assumes:
You have already completed Step 1: Add Dispel information to Okta
You have admin access to a Dispel organization

Finding the required information
There are 4 pieces of information you will need:
Client Secret (from Okta Console)
Client ID (from Okta Console)
Okta URL (from Okta Console)
Organization identifier (you create this)
If you already have these 4, please skip down to "Inputting your information in the Dispel Console."
Finding your Client Secret
In your Okta Console, navigate to the Applications Tab and select your Dispel App.
Once in the Dispel App, navigate to the General tab.
Scroll down until you see the Client Credentials section. Your Client Secret will be at the bottom.
You now should have your Client Secret.
Finding your Client ID
Your Client ID is in the same location as your Client Secret. Once you navigate to the Client Credentials section, your Client ID should be displayed at the top.
You now should have your Client ID.
Finding your Okta URL
Navigate to the Dashboard tab of your Okta Console. Your Okta URL should be displayed on the right.
Determining your Organization identifier
Your Organization identifier is entirely up to you. It is a unique label that is used each time your user logs into Dispel through Okta.
A good Organization identifier should be simple to remember but not easily guessable by others. For example, suppose you work for a company called "Acme." Instead of choosing the identifier acme
, we recommend adding something simple but hard to guess to the identifier (e.g. acme-wizard
or acme-striped-seagull
or something truly random).
Inputting your information in the Dispel Console
Log in to your Dispel Console, and navigate to "Settings" on the left hand panel. Scroll down to "Authentication," and you will see input fields for each of the four pieces of information.
Input your information and press "Save settings" at the bottom.
Congratulations! You have finished setting up your Okta + Dispel integration.
Note to Administrators: Now that your integration is complete, all user management should be done through Okta and not Dispel. Please add new users to the Dispel app through the Okta Console, and provide them with your unique Organization identifier.
