What is Vendor Self-Onboarding (VSO)?
Vendor Self-Onboarding is a feature that allows an admin to onboard a large amount of people into the Dispel dashboard at once, while applying permissions and access at the time of onboarding. This feature aims to reduce overhead time for admins manually onboarding users one at a time.
Pre-Requisites
To effectively utilize the VSO feature, you will need to create a group to associate the VSO link with. Visit the link below to learn how to create and configure a group before creating a VSO link.
Feature Walkthrough
This section covers the process of an admin configuring and creating the link that will be sent out to users.
Creating the Invite Link
After logging into the Dispel dashboard, click the Members tab.
Once on the Members page, click Invite New Member.
Select "Invite using Invite Links" in the purple callout box.
In the text box under "Who do you want to invite?", add the specific domains that you would like to have access to the invite link (Comma-separated). Only users with this particular domain will be able to create a Dispel account.
Specify which Group you would like them to be a part of.
When a user creates their Dispel account, they will be automatically dropped into this group and inherit the group's permissions.
Click "Select and continue".
Select the expiration time for the link in the calendar, then click "Select and continue". After this time, the link will no longer be valid.
This is especially useful when new vendor users are consistently coming in, as well as during any vendor onboarding process. You will be able to reuse the link to efficiently onboard vendors until the link expires.
Select the language you would like the invitation to be in and click "Select and continue".
If you do not see a preferred language, reach out to the Dispel team.
You can also assign a specific name for the Invite Link for ease of management.
Click "Select and continue" to proceed to the Review page.
On the Review page, you will have the option to change any options for the Invite Link. Scroll to the bottom and click "Create Invite Link" when you are ready.
On this page, you are presented with your Invite Link, which can be copied to your clipboard using the copy button to the right of the link.
Managing Invite Links
Click "Use or Manage Saved Invite Links" in the top right of the page to see the list of all Invite Links that have been created. This page will show all relevant info to the Invite Link, including the domain, Group, expiration time, language, and a button to copy the link.
You are also able to delete the link ahead of expiration by clicking the three dots to the right of the Copy Link button and clicking Delete Invite Link.
Congratulations! You now have an invite link to efficiently onboard users to your organization. To learn what the user experience is link after receiving the invite link, read more below!
