How to Find Financial Filings in DIVACS Platform

This guide walks you through finding financial filings with ease and working with these filings step by step.

Updated over 6 months ago

Getting Started: Access the Financial Filings

1. Log into your DIVACS account and go to the dashboard for the company you want to check. You can pick from your customers, shared vendors, or your own company using the menu on the left.

2. Once you're on the company's main page, look for the "News" option in the sidebar or top menu. Click it to open the Company News section.

3. At the top of the page, you'll see tabs like Company News, Financial Filings, Competitor News, and a few others. Click on "Financial Filings."

That's it, you're in. DIVACS checks if the company has a valid CIK number (that's the code for public filings). If it does, the list of filings appears right away. If not, you'll see a message explaining why, like if it's a private company or the info isn't set up yet.

Working with the Filings List

Once the tab loads, here's what you can do:

Browse the List: You'll see filings sorted by date, with details like the filing type (say, 10-K or 8-K), when it was submitted, and a short description. It's all pulled from reliable sources, so it's current.

View Details: Click any filing to open it up. This shows the full report, key highlights, and sometimes even formatted tables for things like revenue or expenses. Scroll through, or use the search within the viewer to find specific sections.

Save or Export: Need to keep something handy? Check the boxes next to filings you like, then use the "Save" button at the bottom. This lets you add them to your notes or share with your team. For exports, look for the download option, it works for PDFs or raw data.

If nothing shows up, don't worry. A note will pop up saying "No Financial Filings Found," which could mean the company is new to public listings or hasn't filed anything recently. In that case, you might want to confirm the CIK in the company's profile settings, it's under the admin tools if you have access.

Tips for Better Results

Filter and Search: Got a bunch of filings? Use the search bar at the top to narrow by date, type, or keywords. It helps when you're digging for something specific.

Public Companies Only: This feature works best for companies that file with the SEC. For private ones, you might not see much, but you can always add manual notes in DIVACS.

Updates and Loading: Filings update automatically when new ones come in, but if something seems off, refresh the page or check your internet. If it's still not loading, it could be a temporary glitch, reach out to support through the help menu.

This tool makes it easier to spot trends in a company's finances, like growth patterns or risks, right from DIVACS. If you need more on related features, check our guides on Company News or Integrations. Got questions? Hit up the chat support, we're here to help.
