There are two methods to set up Windcave payments - via the Dnero POS app or via the Dnero Admin Portal.
Set up Via Dnero POS app
Click on Settings.
Select Payment Settings.
Click on the Windcave logo to select it as your payment provider.
Click on +Add Terminal.
Enter the HIT integration details supplied by Windcave:
Click Save
Select the check box for the appropriate till name
Run a test transaction.
Note: Before use, ensure that you have created a Windcave Payment Method. See here for help.
Set up via the Dnero Admin Portal
Go to My Site > Payment Terminals.
Click on +Add payment terminal, and select Add Windcave terminal from the dropdown menu.
Enter the HIT integration details provided by Windcave:
Name
Username
Key value (API)
Station ID (terminal number)
Receipt tips are collected when the payment is captured, and are usually printed on paper receipts. This method is useful for collecting tips on printed receipts. To set up receipt tips select the appropriate dining methods from the dropdown box.
Terminal tips suggest tips to customers before collecting payment on the card reader. To set up terminal tips select the appropriate dining methods from the dropdown box.
Click Save.
Run a test transaction.
Note: Before use, ensure that you have created a Windcave Payment Method. See here for help.
Integrating Windcave with Dnero
Note: This is only required when using pre-authorisation.
Windcave will provide you with your personalised WIT credentials including:
Name
User ID
API key
In the Dnero Admin Portal, go to Organisation.
Select Features from the side navigation bar.
Select Manage in the Windcave integration.
Enter your Windcave Username and Api key.
Click Save.
