Managing Trusted Pairs and the Trust Ledger

Step-by-step guide for the Settings Auto Review page - viewing learned values, fine-tuning checks for a pair, and stopping trust.

The Auto Review page in the Settings menu is where you manage the trading pairs you trust. From here you can see what Docupath has learned for a pair, adjust which checks apply to a single pair, and stop trusting a pair when you no longer want its documents auto-approved. This guide is for the Admins and Managers who look after those settings.

Prerequisites

  • The Admin or Manager role, or a Custom role that includes the Auto Review module.

  • Auto Review switched on for the sub-organization.

Steps

Note: Managing trusted pairs, editing the trust ledger, and changing per-pair checks require the Admin or Manager role (or a Custom role with the Auto Review module).

Open the Auto Review page

The Auto Review settings page listing approved trading pairs
  1. Click the dropdown arrow (▾) next to your avatar and open Settings.

  2. Select Auto Review. The page lists every trusted trading pair, with its two parties, organization, and document type.

View a pair's trust ledger

  1. On a pair's row, click the Trust Ledger (shield) icon. This shows every value Docupath has learned for that pair, such as VAT numbers, currency, and shipping address.

  2. To stop trusting a single value, click its delete icon. That value stops matching straight away, so the next document carrying it is flagged for review.

Fine-tune the checks for a pair

  1. On a pair's row, click the Override (cog) icon and click Continue in the confirmation dialog.

  2. On the override page, turn the whole pair on or off, and switch individual checks (the gates and business checks) on or off.

  3. Click Save.

Stop trusting a pair

  1. On a pair's row, click the Delete (trash) icon to stop trusting the pair. Its documents will no longer auto-approve.

Expected Outcome

Your changes apply to that pair right away. A revoked value stops matching immediately. When you stop trusting a pair, it drops off the list and its documents return to manual review - but the learned values are kept, so a green lightning icon reappears on the pair's next document and one click re-trusts it.

Common Issues

Issue

Cause

Resolution

Auto Review is missing from the Settings menu

Your role does not include Auto Review access

Only Admin and Manager roles (and Custom roles with the Auto Review module) can manage Auto Review.

A pair you expected is not listed

The pair was never trusted, or it was untrusted

Trust it again from a new document (see Trusting a Trading Pair).

Re-trusting a pair did not ask me to set values again

The pair's learned values were kept when you stopped trusting it

This is expected - re-trusting reuses the existing values.

Notes

  • Stopping trust keeps the pair's learned values, so re-trusting later is a single click rather than starting over.

  • Per-pair overrides sit on top of the defaults - a change here applies only to that one pair.
