Auto-Assign a Doorway to an Administrative Unit via SCIM2 in Okta

When automatically provisioning Doorways via SCIM2 in Okta, you can create a custom attribute to automatically assign a Doorway to an Administrative Unit.

  1. Create your required Administrative Units in your Doorway Portal

  2. Access your Okta portal

  3. Navigate to your SCIM2 application for Doorway

  4. Click on the "Provisioning" tab


  5. Click on the "Go to Profile Editor" button


  6. Click on the "Add Attribute" button


  7. Enter the "Display name" as "Administrative Unit"


  8. Enter the "Variable name" as "administrativeUnit"


  9. Enter the "External namespace" as "urn:ietf:params:scim:schemas:core:2.0:User"


  10. Click on the "Save" button


  11. On the "Profile Editor" page, click on the "Mappings" button


  12. Click on the "Okta User to SCIM 2.0 Test App (Header Auth)" tab


  13. For the "administrativeUnit" attribute, enter the expression you wish to use to assign a Doorway to an Administrative Unit. Please refer to our SCIM2 Schema when implementing your required expression.


  14. Click on the "Save mappings" button
