What does it mean if a transaction has a 'Hold' status?

If a purchase is showing in your Dosh transaction list in the app, then the transaction has been successful and has been charged to your account.

You can tap on the transaction to view the status. It will either show as 'Hold' or 'Completed'. If it is 'Hold', this means the retailer's bank has not settled the transaction. Some retailers' banks can take up to 3 days to settle a transaction.

Tips:

Ensure you have refreshed your balance before making a transaction, you can do this by swiping down on your Home screen in app. If your balance in app is not refreshed, this can sometimes affect the success of a transaction.

Refunds/ Reversals:

Very rarely, you may receive a refund or a reversal that takes a little longer to settle. Until it does, the refund amount will be 'locked'.

For example, you may have a balance of $100, and a $30 refund that has not yet settled. This means your available funds are $70, until the refund settles. Settlement usually happens quickly, however with some retailers, can take 1-3 days.
