When withdrawing money from DragonFly, ACH withdrawal requests require 3-5 business days to complete and the daily request cutoff is 2 PM (Central Time).
If the withdrawal is requested on a weekend (beginning 2 PM CT on Friday) or includes a federal bank holiday those days will be accounted for in the time window in addition to the business days.
Here are a couple of examples below to illustrate:
Example 1: 4th of July
A withdrawal is requested at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 3. July 4, a federal holiday, falls on a Thursday in this example.
Since the request came in before the 2 PM cutoff on Wednesday, Business Day 1 is Friday.
Saturday and Sunday are not business days, so Business Day 2 is the following Monday
Business Day 3 is Tuesday
Business Day 4 is Wednesday
Business Day 5 is Thursday
βSo while the transfer began on Wednesday, the window of 3-5 business days would fall on the following Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Example 2: Labor Day Weekend
A withdrawal is requested at 6 PM on the Thursday before Labor Day. Since the request came after the 2 PM daily cutoff, it will not begin until Friday.
Saturday, Sunday, and the Labor Day holiday are not business days, so Business Day 1 would be the following Tuesday
Business Day 2 would be Wednesday
Business Day 3 would be Thursday
Business Day 4 would be Friday.
Business Day 5, the final day of the ACH transfer window, would be the following Monday.
