This article is Step 2 after you have signed up for a DragonFly account. If you have not created your DragonFly account, please find instructions at this link.
After you have signed up for a DragonFly account, the next step is to connect to your school or organization and select your role.
Step 1: Get Started
Once you've signed up and logged into your account, you'll see the 'Today' page. Where it says 'Let's connect to your school, state association or group.' there will be a button below that says 'Get Started'. Click to begin.
Step 2: Select Your Role
Your next step will be to identify yourself. The first options are Athlete, Parent, Staff, Official, or Other School Roles.
Important: You should only select that option that applies to the person who signed up for the account. Parents should never select 'Athlete' - only accounts for student-athletes should select 'Athlete'. Parents will be able to enter their child's information later.
In the below example, 'Staff' is clicked.
After clicking, for 'Staff' or 'Official' you will be given another step to specify your role.
Since we selected 'Staff' in our example, we'll next choose 'Coach'.
You'll be asked to confirm your selection. Click the 'Add' button at the bottom to continue.
Step 3: Select your State
Select the state your school or organization is located in, then confirm your selection with the bottom-right button.
Step 4: Search & Select Your School, State Association, or Organization
In the below example, we searched for 'dragonfly' to find 'DragonFly High School'. Confirm your selection by clicking the 'Join' button at the bottom-right.
Step 5: Confirm Your Information & Save
On the final window, you'll be presented a summary of the information you have entered. Please review this carefully. If there is anything to correct, click 'Back' in the top-left to go back and make changes.
If all is correct, simply click 'Save'.
Now that you are connected to your school, state association, or organization, the next step is to address any eligibility requirements for your role. Learn more here:
