While DragonFly has many options for building forms, often all that is needed is a simple block of text, a signature, and a date. We'll go through the steps below of creating this kind of form.

For more details on every option in forms, click here.

Create a Form

To create a new form, go to the DragonFly Hub, then click 'New'. In the dialogue that appears, select 'Form'.

Add Heading & Formatted Text

Next, you can add a Heading element and a Formatted Text element for your form content.

All new forms begin with a blank Short Answer question. Select the type dropdown in the top-right corner and change it to "Heading".

Type in a header for the form. In the below example, it is 'Photographic Consent & Release Form'.

Next, add a space for the text of your policy or form to be entered. To do this, click 'Add Question' again change the type to 'Formatted Text'.

Adding & Formatting Text

In the Formatted Text element you can enter the information for your form. Often, the content of a form is coming from an existing form in another program. You can easily copy & paste the information from another program into the Formatted Text field.

Please note: Only text can be copied and pasted. Other elements (such as logos and images) cannot be pasted into the form.

In the below example, a form starts in a Google Doc and is copied then pasted into the Formatted Text field in DragonFly.

With text in the Formatted Text field, you can now format the text using familiar tools for adjusting indent, alignment, and formatting text as bold, italicized, or underlined.

Add Signature & Date

Now that the content of your form is in the Formatted Text, the next steps would be to add Signature, and a Date element if desired.

Click 'Add a Question' again. Change the type to 'Signature'. Add a prompt or title for the signature and a description if desired.

If a date is needed for the signature, click 'Add a Question' again and change the type to 'Date'. Again, add a title or description if desired.
