How To Create a Proposal Template

This article will show you how to create proposal templates using items.

1. Click on Proposal Templates

2. Click on New Template

Click on New Template

3. Enter a Template Name

4. Click on Start

5. Click on Add Line Item

6. Select a Product/Service from the dropdown menu

7. Set the Price

Note: Price may already be set to a default. You can always change this per proposal if needed.

8. Click on Save

9. Click on Add Optional Item

10. Select a product/service

These items will be added to the proposal as optional and will not be calculated with the current balance. The customer will be able to add them to their proposal with the click of a button! This is useful in adding upsell opportunities and/or items discussed at the estimate that the customer is not quite ready to commit to.

11. Click on Save

12. Repeat steps 9, 10, and 11 for additional optional items

13. Click on Apply Discount

This option is good for seasonal discounts or specials but is not required.

14. Select discount (%) or set a flat amount

15. Enter a note/description

16. Click on Save

18. Click on the deposit amount

If you do not require a deposit, you can skip this step.

19. Select a fixed amount or percentage

21. Click on Save

Note: If you use Strip, you can waive the CC processing fee by switching the Waive Convenience Fee toggle to ON.

22. Click on Notes

This is optional.

23. Click on Add to include crew, client, and/or internal notes

These would be notes you generally include with all proposals. They can always be edited later per the proposal. Remember to click save for each.

24. Click on Set Active

βœ… Congratulations! Your Proposal Template is now active and will be an available selection when starting a proposal for a new customer.
