About This Tutorial
As a teacher, you can take payment either in person or online using your Duet studio. There are two platforms you can use to accept online payments:
PayPal
Stripe
You don't need to set up both, just the one you want.
If you set up one of these payment options, a link to that option will appear at the bottom of the invoices that you create for your students. For example:

This tutorial walks you through how to set up both PayPal and Stripe. Note: The advantage of using Stripe is that you can setup automatic payments using Stripe.
Take Payments Using Paypal
PayPal has a variety of ways for people to send you payment. Your student/parent can use their bank account, credit card, their PayPal balance, and a couple more ways.
This section of the tutorial shows you how to set up Paypal, along with a link on how to create a Paypal account if you don't already have one.
Create a Paypal Account
If you don't already have one create a PayPal account. We recommend a business account. Go to: https://www.paypal.com/us/business/accept-payments
Enable Paypal in Duet
You enable Paypal in your Invoices and Payments tab.
Click on your name > Settings. Located at the top right corner of the webpage.
You will be taken directly into your Studio tab.
Click on the Invoices & Payments tab.
Scroll to the bottom of the Invoices and Payments tab until you reach the Payment Options section.
Click on the Enable Payments from PayPal box.
Type in the email address you used to setup your PayPal account into the Email address associated with your PayPal account field.
At the bottom of the page click on the Save Invoices and Payments Settings button, to save your changes.
Take Payments Using Stripe
Stripe allows you to take credit card payments. This section of the tutorial shows you how to set up Stripe, along with a link on how to create a Stripe account if you don't already have one.
Create a Stripe Account
If you don't already have one create a Stripe account. To sign up, go to: https://dashboard.stripe.com/register

The first thing you need to do is get a copy of your "Publishable Key" and "Secret Key" from your Stripe account.
Log in to your Stripe account: https://dashboard.stripe.com/login
Once logged into your Stripe account, you will need to get a copy of your "Secret Key" and your "Publishable Key". To find them go to: https://dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys

Then, in Duet, go to your Invoices and Payments tab.
Click on your name > Settings. Located at the top right corner of the webpage.
You will be taken directly into your Studio tab.
Click on the Invoices & Payments tab.
Scroll to the bottom of the Invoices and Payments tab until you reach the Payment Options section.
Click on the Enable credit card payments box.
Click on the Stripe.com box.
Copy and paste your Secret Key into the Live secret key field.
Copy and paste your Publishable Key into the Live publishable key field.
At the bottom of the page click on the Save Invoices and Payments Settings button, to save your changes.
