This privacy notice for Plug Digital Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our services ("Services", “app”, “ Dynamic Product Banners”), such as when you:

  • Install our Shopify application ( Dynamic Product Banners), or any other application of ours that links to this privacy notice

  • Engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, or events

Information We Collect

Merchant Data:

  • Shop admin domain (e.g., admin.shopify.com/store/name-of-store)

  • Shop’s Shopify ID

  • Shop address

  • Shop currency

  • Shop creation date

  • Shop email

  • Shop domain

  • Whether or not the shop has a storefront

  • Shop name

  • Shopify plan level

  • Shop owner’s username

The app does not use or store any personally identifiable customer information from checkouts or customer orders, but it does store personally identifiable customer information for any customer exemptions that are created.

Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our app and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, and settings and information about your activity in the Services (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches, and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called "crash dumps"), and hardware settings).

Data Processing Role
We act as a data processor on behalf of merchants using the app. Merchants are the data controllers responsible for determining how their store data is collected, used, and displayed, including through any content configured using our app.

The app primarily processes store data such as product information (e.g., titles, pricing, inventory) and merchant-created banner content to enable dynamic messaging on the storefront. In limited cases, the app may reference customer-related data (such as tags or segments) if configured by the merchant for display logic.

We process this data solely to provide and support the functionality of the app and only in accordance with the instructions of the merchant. We do not use this data for our own independent purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect from you for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our app

  • To improve and personalize your experience

  • To communicate with you and respond to your inquiries

  • To process transactions and fulfill orders

  • To send you important information regarding the app, such as updates and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies

  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies

Third-Party Sharing / Disclosure

We may share data with service providers that help us operate and improve our app such as hosting, analytics, and customer support tools. We do not sell personal information to third parties

Third-Party Services and Subprocessors

We may use trusted third-party service providers (“subprocessors”) to support the operation and delivery of the app. These subprocessors process data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

The categories of subprocessors we use include:

  • Ecommerce platform providers: Used to access store data through platform APIs in order to provide app functionality

  • Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers: Used to securely operate and deliver the app

  • Customer support and communication tools: Used to provide support and maintain help documentation

  • Analytics and performance tools (if applicable): Used to monitor and improve app performance

These third parties are granted access only to the data necessary to perform their functions and are required to protect and use it solely for those purposes.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that any third-party service providers maintain appropriate safeguards to protect data.


Data Retention & Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services to merchants.

Personal information is retained for the duration that the app is installed on a merchant’s Shopify store. Uninstalling the app automatically initiates the deletion of all personal data associated with the merchant, in accordance with Shopify’s data retention and deletion requirements. Data deletion typically occurs within approximately 48 hours of app uninstall, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, or security purposes).

The app does not retain personal data after uninstall except as required to comply with applicable legal obligations.

Certain data may continue to be processed or retained by Shopify in accordance with Shopify’s own privacy and data retention policies.

Data Storage & Data Security

The data collected by us is stored on secure servers with highly restricted access. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

International Data Transfers

Data may be processed in countries outside your jurisdiction, including where our service providers operate.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that data is protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. It is advised to review this document periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
