The exchange process differs between the installation method. (Widget or integration)
In the widget
If the feature is enabled, the widget will display a card for point exchange.
Customers can access a list of the available products by clicking on the card. Customers can add products to their cart in the page, as long as the total point amount required is below the current point balance.
After the exchange products are added, you can checkout through the cart. Once the order is confirmed, the points will be deducted from the balance.
With theme integration
Theme integration can enable the following rules to your theme.
Replace the product price and the points earned with the amount of points required to exchange it.
Display the points required in the cart, and deduct the points used for point exchange from the available balance.
Disable adding exchange products that exceed the customer's balance.
The following explains the actual exchange flow.
Navigate to the product page and check how many points the product requires to be exchanged. By creating a collection, you can create a dedicated page for exchangable products.
Add the product into your cart. Any products that exceed the balance will get blocked.
Navigate to the cart page. The points used for exchange will be directly deducted from the available balance. You can also redeem points as usual.
Checkout as usual, and the points will be deducted from the customer's balance.
