As an organization administrator, you can customize how Echo Labs appears to your users and how your embedded videos behave for viewers. These settings apply across your entire organization and to all public-facing video embeds.
To access organization settings, click your user menu in the sidebar and navigate to Profile > Customization. Non-admin users won't see this tab.
Organization Logo
Upload your institution's logo to brand the platform and your video embeds.
Your logo appears in two places:
In the sidebar —Replaces the default Echo Labs icon in the top-left corner of your dashboard
In video players —Shows in the corner of embedded players when viewers watch your videos
Uploading Your Logo
First, click Choose file and select your logo. A preview appears immediately so you can verify it looks correct.
Then click Upload to save it. The logo updates across the platform within seconds.
File Requirements
Supported formats: JPG, PNG, or SVG
Maximum file size: 2MB
For best results, use a square or horizontal logo with transparent background (PNG or SVG). The system will scale your logo appropriately for different contexts.
Removing Your Logo
If you've uploaded a logo and want to revert to the default, click Remove next to the current logo preview. This immediately restores the default Echo Labs branding.
Video Player Settings
Configure how embedded video players behave when viewers watch your content. These settings affect all embeds across your organization.
Primary Color
Set the accent color used throughout the video player interface.
This color appears on:
Play button and control highlights
Progress bar
Volume slider
Interactive UI elements
Enter a hex code directly (like #0066CC) or click the color swatch to use the visual color picker.
Transcript Default Open
Controls whether the transcript panel opens automatically when viewers load a video.
Enabled —Transcript panel opens by default. Viewers see captions alongside the video immediately.
Disabled —Transcript panel stays closed until viewers click to open it, providing a cleaner initial view.
Note: Viewers can always toggle the transcript panel regardless of your default. This setting just controls the initial state.
Allow Transcript Download
Controls whether viewers can download transcript files directly from the embedded player.
Enabled —A download button appears in the player, letting viewers save the transcript as a text file.
Disabled —Download option is hidden. Use this if you want to control transcript distribution or prevent easy copying of your content.
This doesn't affect your ability to download transcripts from your dashboard—only what external viewers can do from embedded players.
