The Monthly Report button smartly picks the most recent content from the News Feed and Documents tab

The Monthly Report button on the fund profile page shows the latest available "Monthly Commentary" for the fund (picked from the News Feed tab) or the latest available PDF document of type "Monthly Newsletter" (picked from the Documents tab), depending on which is the most recent.

For example: if the current date is some time in August, and your News Feed tab only has a Monthly Commentary for June, but your Documents tab has a Monthly Newsletter available for July: then the Monthly Report button will display that newsletter PDF to your visitors.ย

However, if you had written a Monthly Commentary in your News Feed for the month of July, then the button would generate a printable report including that commentary, as shown in the image below.

If the latest Monthly Commentary available in the News Feed tab AND the latest Monthly Newsletter document available in the Documents tab correspond to the same month, then the Monthly Commentary will be picked.

When picking a Monthly Commentary, a nice printable report is generated by displaying the commentary itself along with useful information about the fund for the relevant month (including that month's return, AUM, Year to Date return etc...)

We encourage you to write Monthly Commentaries in the News Feed tab. For that purpose, when editing your fund data, if there is no Monthly Commentary available for the last month, then clicking the Monthly Report button will invite you to write one, even if you already have a Monthly Newsletter available in your Documents tab.

If you do not have either a Monthly Commentary or Monthly Newsletter uploaded, the Monthly Report button will not display to Investors visiting your profile - it is therefore important to add this content.
