Managing access requests

Updated over 2 weeks ago

When someone requests access to your investor portal, their request appears in your CRM so you can review and decide whether to grant or ignore it.

To view access requests:

  1. Go to Contacts.

  2. If there are any pending requests, a banner will be shown at the top of the page.

  3. Click Manager their request to view all pending requests.

To action a request:

  1. From the list of access requests, click on a contact to open their details.

  2. Review their details and decide whether you would like to grant access or ignore the request.

  3. If you would like to grant access, set appropriate permissions and click Grant access. This will set the contact’s Portal access to ‘Yes’ and send them an invitation email automatically.
Note the email content will be based on the invitation email template that is set up in your portal.

  4. If you would like to ignore the request, click Ignore. This will not change the contact’s Portal access field or permissions and they will not receive an email.

In some cases you will see that the Grant access button is not shown. This means that the contact already has portal access, they may simply have forgotten. You can use the Email button at the top right of the page to send them an email reminding them, with a link to your investor portal. They will be able to log in or reset their password if they have forgotten it. Alternatively, you can also scroll to the bottom of the page and click Revoke access to revoke any access they have to your investor portal.
