Templates

When an email campaign is being built you can select one of the templates in the first drop down under Template. You do have the options that will direct you to the templates setting too, incase you decide you would like to create a template first. Templates are productive to create if you're looking at using a certain layout and content consistently as you will be able to pull these out each time. There is also a blank template option too, if you would rather start from scratch.

Links

The drop down on the right side, links is used to help direct your users into the FundPortal. The dropdown menu offers each page of the FundPortal (Overview, Data room, News & Comments etc), therefore if you select one of these then the user will be taken there. Bear in mind, if you switch off any tab inside the portal or the permission level does not match/ line up with the contacts you're sending the email campaign to, then they will go to an error page instead.

Links works by using a special code within your content. You can imbed the special code by using your hyperlinks tool. When you select text and click the hyperlink button in the tool bar. You can copy the special code in the URL, the special code is either of these: {{links}} or {{message_links}}. Please see the examples below for further direction.

The special code is created to allow the system to pick up who is accessing the link. If a user has no set up their password before and accessed the FundPortal, this will direct the user to the password set up page first then take them to the drop down option selected earlier.

If you choose not to embed the code into a hyperlink and simply copy & paste the special code, then a longer URL will appear when launching the campaign therefore it is recommended to take advantage of the hyperlink too, to give a cleaner look.
