Settings in the integration
In Setting you will find the boxes where you set up your BCC & Forward links. You'll also be able to include the email addresses you do not want to send to the portal.
When you upload an email address it will confirm this has been updated and will disappear from the box to add more next time.
Contact Details
When you are emailing a contact, or you’re viewing an email a contact has sent you, there are two different views depending on if a contact is already added to your FundPortal or not.
Contact is already in FP
If they contact is already in your Fundportal, the integration allows you to look into the information you have stored against that contact:
A link to the users details in the FundPortal
When the user was last online in the FundPortal
Contact analytics
Recent activities, such as other mail campaigns
Recent tasks & the option to create tasks linked to that contact
New contact
When you open an email from a new contact or you are replying to an email then 'Contact Details' will allow you to add them as a new user to your portal. It will provide you the control to set the correct permission levels for the fund/funds you want to show them in here too.
How do I synch emails to my FundPortal?
Once you have set up your Outlook integration, FundPortal can track customer interactions.
Emails from contacts
If you want to track an email that a contact has emailed to you then select the Edgefolio Addin when you’re in the email you want to track.
On the email, click forward. This will let you see the forward link you copied in the settings earlier to confirm it will forward to your portal.
Check your integration settings and make sure the ‘track’ toggle is switched on and then click send.
You will then find the email in the contact sent this to you and your own activities too.
Emails to contacts
Firstly, contacts must be in the to field in order synch the email.
When you’re replying or creating a new email that you want to track in the FundPortal, then make sure the Edgefolio Addin is open in your Outlook on the right hand side.
Make sure the BCC link is found in BCC within the email and when you hit send, you will be able to find the email in your user and the contacts activities.
