Understanding how to use the contacts & company templates for uploading data

The template to upload new contacts and companies has many wonderful ways to upload your data, here are some tips.

In these videos, we will teach you how to effectively use the template option in your CRM. We will show you how to export, import, and add new contacts using templates. We will also explain how to use tags to categorise your users and avoid duplicates.

Template for Companies: You can find this inside the Companies section of the CRM. Then, on the top right-hand corner, you'll be able to download the Excel file, which includes all the fields for uploading.

Template for Contacts: You can find this inside the Contacts section of the CRM. Then, on the top right-hand corner, you'll be able to download the Excel file, which includes all the fields for uploading.

Please make sure to use the dropdown options for country codes, investor type and fund permissions and do not change the format.

If you're uploading your CRM for the first time or need to add additional Companies & Contacts, make sure to upload your Companies template before your Contacts template. This is important because the system will create a Company ID to link to your Contacts later on. Adding Contacts first will cause duplicate Companies.

By following these tips, you will be able to efficiently manage your contacts in the CRM.

Export Option

Here we explain how to use the export and import contacts buttons in your CRM. This video shows you how to export all of your contacts, select specific contact groups, and remove contacts from the export. Additionally, it will demonstrates how to update permission levels, company names, and investor types within the CRM. Please note that updating email addresses should be done by removing and re-adding contacts.
