If watermarking fails when uploading a document to the data room (indicated by the “Failed” status in the watermarking column), follow these steps:
- Check if the document is a PDF. Watermarking is only possible for PDF files, so ensure your document is in the correct format before uploading. 
- Check that your document is not encrypted, watermarking will not work on encrypted documents. 
- Try uploading the document again. Sometimes, re-uploading can resolve the issue. 
- You can also try simplifying your document, minimising design elements and images will help improve readability and reduce file size.
