quick answers to common billing questions

is there a free trial on edgeful?

no. edgeful doesn't offer a free trial on either the essential or all access plan. both plans are available to start at any time, and you can cancel before your next billing date if it's not the right fit. more free content to explore before subscribing is in the does edgeful offer a free trial? section below.

what's the difference between essential and all access?

essential ($49/mo or $39/mo annual) is the research platform — 150+ reports, WIP dashboard, screener, edgeful AI, TradingView and NinjaTrader indicators, Discord access. all access ($299/mo or $239/mo annual) adds the full automation suite: ORB, IB, gap fill, and engulfing algos, automated order placement through supported brokers, and the algo analyzer. full breakdown in the what's in each plan section below.

how much does it cost to upgrade from essential to all access?

the price difference is $250/mo on monthly billing ($299 – $49) or $200/mo on annual billing ($239 – $39). you can change plans at any time from manage accountmembership.

can I get a refund?

edgeful doesn't offer refunds on completed charges per the terms of service. if you believe there was a billing error, duplicate charge, or the timing was unfair, reach out to support through the chat widget in edgeful and the team will review. see what happens when I cancel my edgeful subscription? for the full billing-dispute walkthrough.

how do I cancel my edgeful subscription?

cancel from manage accountmembershipcancel now. cancelling stops future renewals — you keep access through the end of your current billing period. no lock-in, no cancellation fee. details in the cancelling or downgrading your subscription section below.

what happens if my payment fails?

edgeful retries the charge automatically over the next few days and you keep access during that retry window. if retries don't go through, access pauses until you update your card in manage accountpayment details. full walkthrough in the if your payment fails section below.

essential plan — $49/mo (or $39/mo billed annually)

the essential plan gives you access to edgeful's full research platform. 150+ data-backed trading reports across futures, stocks, ETFs, forex, and crypto — price behaviour statistics, market bias analysis, session ranges, and historical patterns across major markets.

you get the what's in play (WIP) dashboard for daily session prep, the screener to scan for setups across multiple assets, and edgeful AI — a deep research tool reading 16 core reports. the essential plan also includes the TradingView indicator library and NinjaTrader indicator library so you can plot levels and visualize setups directly on your charts.

best for traders who want detailed market research before entering trades. you analyze reports manually and make your own trading decisions — no algorithm automation. full Discord community access is included.

all access plan — $299/mo (or $239/mo billed annually)

the all access plan includes everything in essential, plus the full automation suite: ORB, IB, gap fill, and engulfing algos with automated order placement through your connected broker. supported brokers for automation are Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and ProjectX.

you also get the algo analyzer — upload your TradingView backtest data and get optimization data for your settings. this plan is for traders ready to deploy algorithms, or who want both research reports and automated execution.

what's in each plan

essential: 150+ reports, WIP dashboard, screener, edgeful AI (3 million tokens/month), TradingView indicators, NinjaTrader indicators, Discord community access.

all access: everything in essential + 4 core algorithms (ORB, IB, gap fill, engulfing), automated order placement, broker integration (Tradovate, NinjaTrader, ProjectX), algo analyzer.

which plan is right for you

start with essential if you're new to edgeful or prefer manual trading with better market data. upgrade to all access when you're ready to automate — or when you want to use edgeful's built-in algo strategies without building your own from scratch.

what else do you need?

this is where most confusion comes up — so here's what the full setup actually looks like.

TradingView (required for algos)

the algos run as strategies inside TradingView. you'll need at least a TradingView Premium plan to access the deep backtesting feature in the strategy tester — that's how you optimize your algo settings.

you'll also need a CME real-time data package — by default, TradingView shows CME futures data with a ~10 minute delay. without real-time data, your alerts fire late and your entries are off.

TradingView isn't required just to use the essential plan's reports and indicators. but if you want to run and automate the algos, a paid TradingView subscription is part of the setup.

TradingView premium discount

TradingView offers a $15 discount on premium plans — but it's only available for brand-new accounts. if you're signing up for TradingView for the first time, use edgeful's referral link to get it:

the $15 gets applied automatically during checkout when you sign up through that link. if you already have a TradingView account, this won't apply — it's strictly a first-time signup offer.

a broker account (required for automation)

the algos place trades through a connected broker. you'll need an active account with Tradovate, NinjaTrader, or ProjectX to connect automation.

your broker account needs to stay connected and funded. if the connection drops or credentials expire, algos pause automatically.

if you're using a prop firm account, check their terms and conditions first to confirm automated algo trading is permitted.

a demo account (recommended)

before going live with real capital, we strongly recommend testing on a demo or paper trading account first. all 3 supported brokers offer demo accounts — use them to validate execution behavior, confirm your settings, and build confidence before scaling to live.

TradingView isn't required for the essential plan

the essential plan includes TradingView indicator access — but you can use the reports, WIP dashboard, screener, and edgeful AI directly on edgeful.com without TradingView. the indicators enhance your charts, but they're not required to use the platform.

how billing works

you're charged immediately when you sign up — either the monthly or annual rate depending on which billing cycle you choose. your subscription renews automatically on your billing date each month (or year).

edgeful doesn't offer refunds on completed charges per the terms of service. but if you feel the timing was unfair or there was a billing error, reach out to support via the chat widget in edgeful.

if your payment fails

when a payment fails — expired card, insufficient funds, your bank blocking the charge — edgeful will retry the payment automatically over the next few days. you'll still have access during that retry window.

if the retries don't go through, your access gets paused until the payment is resolved.

how to fix it yourself

1. click your profile icon in the top right corner of edgeful.

2. select manage account.

3. click the payment details tab.

4. update your card on file with a valid payment method.

once the new card is saved, the system will attempt the charge again. if it goes through, your access resumes immediately — no need to re-subscribe or set anything up again.

common reasons a payment fails

expired card. this is the most common one. if the card on file has passed its expiration date, every renewal attempt will fail. update it in payment details and you're good.

insufficient funds. the charge was declined because the account didn't have enough at the time. once the funds are available, update the card (even if it's the same card) to trigger a retry.

bank or issuer blocked it. some banks flag recurring subscription charges — especially international ones — as suspicious. if this happens, call your bank and authorize the charge, then update your card in edgeful to retry.

what a failed payment affects

a failed payment doesn't just pause your access — it also blocks plan changes. if you try to downgrade or cancel while a payment is outstanding, the membership page will prompt you to update your card first instead of showing those options.

if you're in this situation and want to downgrade without resolving the payment, reach out to support through the chat widget. the team can handle plan changes manually.

still stuck?

if you've updated your card and the payment still isn't going through — or if something on the billing page doesn't look right — reach out to support through the chat widget in the bottom right of any edgeful page. include your email address and a quick description of what you're seeing, and the team will sort it out.

annual billing

the annual plan is 20% cheaper than month-to-month. the annual discount is available for both the essential and all access plans. you can switch to annual billing at any time from your account settings.

discounts and promo codes

edgeful doesn't run sales, promotional discounts, or coupon codes. the only discount available is the annual plan — which saves you 20% compared to monthly billing.

the one exception is TradingView — they offer a $15 discount on premium plans for brand-new TradingView accounts. that's a TradingView promotion, not an edgeful discount. details and the referral link are in the TradingView premium discount section above.

cancelling or downgrading your subscription

you can cancel anytime from manage accountmembershipcancel now. cancelling stops future renewals — you keep access through the end of your current billing period. there's no lock-in or cancellation fee.

if you're on the all access plan and want to step down to essential instead of cancelling entirely, there's a dedicated walkthrough for that:

if you subscribed at an early-adopter or promotional rate, cancelling means that rate won't be available again if you re-subscribe later.

does edgeful offer a free trial?

no. edgeful doesn't offer a free trial on either the essential or all access plan. both plans are available to start at any time, and you can cancel before your next billing date if it's not the right fit.
