Integrating your POS

How to integrate your point of sale system with Edify

Overview

Integrating your POS (Point of Sale) System with your Edify account unlocks your COGs reporting.

Available POS systems

Edify are currently able to integrate with:

Square
Lightspeed
Toast
Revel
GoodTill
SumUp
Micros
EposNow


Integrating Your POS System

Square, Lightspeed and Revel

If you have a Square, Lightspeed or Revel account it's possible to integrate the two systems directly in Edify.

  1. Navigate to POS > Connection

  2. Click the Connect button for your POS system

  3. You will be directed to your POS account where you will need to grant Edify the required permissions

Once done, in the Connection tab you will see a green 'Connected' flag.

Integrating other POS Systems

For other POS Systems the integration will be completed directly by the Edify engineering team. Please reach out to our Support team to kickstart this process.


Linking Sites

Once you have connected your POS system you will need to link your Sites on Edify to their respective locations on the POS system to enable analytics and reporting.

  1. Navigate to POS > Connection

  2. In the 'Site Connections' section you will be shown all your active Edify sites

  3. For each site click Link

  4. The 'POS Location' dropdown will show all POS locations available to Edify

  5. Select the correct location

  6. Click Link Location

If you cannot see the POS location this means it has not been made available to Edify. Check your POS system to ensure the location is active.

šŸ’” Reminder: if a site is not linked to a POS location no sales data will sync which will mean COGs analytics is unavailable.


Switching POS Systems

Important: If you're moving to a new POS system, your previous POS data in your COGS and Homepage reports will be removed once you make the switch.

If you are switching to a new POS System the process will depend on the POS Systems you are switching to and from.

Step 1: Disconnect your current POS

You can disconnect directly in Edify.

  1. Navigate to POS > Connection

  2. Click 'Disconnect'

Step 2: Connect your new POS

Once you have disconnected your old POS system use the instructions above to connect a new system.


Missing, Invalid or Revoked Connections

Sometimes POS connections can become invalid or be revoked, if this happens your sales data will no longer sync and COGs analytics will not be available.

Missing, Invalid or Revoked POS connections will be flagged in the POS Connection page.

If you have a Lightspeed, Square or Revel account you will be able to re-link your POS. For other POS systems please contact our support team who will be able to assist.

Business Name Changes on POS System

Renaming a business on your POS system can cause the integration to be revoked. If you rename your business on your POS system you will need to re-link your POS system using the steps above.

Changing your Company Name in Edify has no impact on POS integrations. Equally, changing the name of Sites/Locations in Edify or your POS system will not impact the integration.
