Summary
The Home screen is the first page you see when you log in to Edify. It gives you a live snapshot of today's activity at your site(s): deliveries due, spend so far this week, and waste recorded today. It also gives you shortcuts to the actions you use most, so you can place an order or log waste in one click.
Shortcuts
Below the greeting you'll find a row of shortcut buttons. These take you straight to common actions such as Upcoming deliveries, Place order, Transfers, Waste and Checklists.
You can customise which shortcuts appear:
Select the edit icon next to the shortcuts row
In the Edit shortcuts window, select + Add shortcut to add an action, or drag shortcuts to reorder them
Select Save
💡 Select Reset to default in the Edit shortcuts window to restore the original set at any time.
Deliveries widget
The Deliveries widget shows today's expected drops and your week-to-date spend. Use the site selector drop down in the top left to view all your sites, or a selected site.
Today lists each delivery expected today, with the supplier name, number of items, value and current status (Pending or Delivered). Select a delivery to open it and accept it as normal.
Overdue shows deliveries that are still pending past their expected date. Select the Overdue row to expand it and see each overdue delivery, including how many days overdue it is.
⚠️ A large overdue count usually means deliveries have arrived but were never accepted in Edify. Accepting these keeps your stock and spend figures accurate.
Week to date shows how much you've received so far this week against everything scheduled for the week, both as a total (for example £198.34 of £2,377.30) and broken down by supplier.
If nothing is scheduled yet, the widget shows No deliveries today with a + Place an order button so you can get your first order in straight away.
Select View all deliveries to open the full Deliveries page.
Waste watch widget
Waste watch shows the value of items wasted so far today at your site, compared with your average for this time of day. Use the site selector drop down in the top left to view all your sites, or a selected site.
Select + Log waste to record new waste. This opens the Record waste page where you set the date, select + Add items, and Save.
Select View all waste to see everything recorded for your site.
If nothing has been wasted yet today, the widget shows No waste yet today. Log waste as it happens so any spikes show up here during the day, rather than at the end of the week.
💡 Recording waste at the time it happens gives you the most accurate picture of where money is being lost, and makes the daily comparison in Waste watch meaningful.
