How to add or edit products

Products are the items you order from suppliers and are used as ingredients within recipes. You may need to add new products or update details such as the price or product name.

Adding products to Edify

  1. On the left-hand menu select "Suppliers & Products"

  2. On the supplier, you want to add products for click "Add Products"

  3. On the top right hand menu click "Add product"

  4. Enter the product details, see here for more info on these fields.

  5. Complete new product details and select "Save"

Editing products on Edify

  1. On the left-hand menu select "Suppliers & Products"

  2. Find the supplier, and click on the text in the products column.

  3. Click "Edit" next to the product(s) you'd like to amend

  4. Complete amendments to any of the product details and click "Save".

Removing or Deleting Products
If there is a product that you no longer would like to order/the product is no longer available from the supplier


On the left-hand menu select "Suppliers & Products"

  1. Find the supplier, and click on the hyperlink text in the products column.

  2. Click in the Status Column where it says "Available" next to the product(s) you'd like to amend

  3. Change the Status to "Unavailable" - This will prevent ordering.


Product Management FAQ

Can I export a suppliers product list from Edify?

There isn't currently a way to download a suppliers product details from Edify.

Can I bulk upload/edit multiple products at once?
If you have a large product list to upload or edit, you are able to make these changes in bulk - Please contact our team via Live Chat for support with this.

If I update the product price, how is this reflected on my reports?
The product price will not be updated for any historical Stocktakes, Purchases and Transfer records.

However, your "Theoretical" costings in your reports will change historically - (ie. the cost of your recipes will update and this will be reflect in your Weekly/Line Level COGs).

How do I add product to a site that is supplied by a CPU?

If you would like one of your sites to begin ordering a product that is produced by your CPU this should be managed within the CPU product settings. You can find out more here.

​I made a product unavailable, but it still appears in my product list?
We do not allow for the permanent deletion of products. If you don't want the product to appear on the supplier's product list for all of your sites; You can remove the site assignment to all of your sites by clicking on the hyperlink text in the Sites column, and removing all of your sites using the checkboxes. After this is done, sites will no longer be able to see this product.
