  • Select the standards you will address in the course.

  • If you want to remove one you've chosen, simply select the minus sign on the right side, or unselect it on the left side.

  • Click Save to load all selected standards into your course.

  • Click Complete when finished.

Reviewing The Course Standards

  • In the course view, you'll see the Standards set name, along with the number of standards chosen.

  • Click on the name to see the list of standards you have chosen for the course.

This step can only be completed after standards have been added to the course.

  • This can be done while creating a new unit, or opening up an existing unit and clicking Edit.

  • This can be done while creating a new unit, or opening up an existing unit and clicking Edit.

  • Scroll down; toward the bottom, you will see the Standards listed.

  • You can choose to write Learning Objectives right under the standards, or scroll down to the bank of already created Learning Objectives that are under No Standard attached.

This step can only be completed after standards have been added to the unit.

  • To attach a standard, click on the target. The list of standards chosen for the unit will appear.

  • Select the appropriate standard(s) to match the learning objective and make sure to Save.

  • These learning objectives are now considered Lesson Objectives because they have been assigned to a lesson.

  • Click Complete at the top when finished.

Attaching A Lesson Objective To An Activity

  • Scroll down to find Learning objectives on the right.

  • Click Select to choose which learning objectives you want to link to the activity.

  • Select Save.

  • You will be able to see a target that says Objective. The number you selected will show there and it will match the number under the Learning Objectives at the lesson level.

Reviewing All of The Standards

  • At every level, you will be able to review the standards chosen. At the course and unit level, you will have an extra option to view standards alignment. The image below is an example at the course level:

  • Hover over each circle to see what it means:

    • 1st - How many selected course standards are aligned with units

    • 2nd - How many unit standards are aligned with lesson objectives

    • 3rd - How many of those standards-aligned lesson objectives are covered by activities

  • Click on any of the circles to see which standard is connected and where in your course.

  • Clicking on any of the checkmarks allows you to see exactly which unit, lesson, or activity that standard is linked to.
