By using Cost Control Rules you are able to manage the budget and charging costs of your fleet. These rules can be assigned on an individual basis, or for the entire fleet.
EEVEE Business offers multiple ways to set cost controls:
Define in which countries public charging is allowed (geofencing) and get alerted if someone charges outside of the allowed regions.
Define a maximum charging budget and get alerted if someone charges more than he or she is allowed to.
Session energy cost
Set limits on the actual energy cost (rate per kWh charged) and get alerted if the cost per kWh was more than you did allow.
Session duration cost
Set limits on the duration cost at the charger (incl. idle fees) and get alerted if there are any duration costs, or a threshold is reached.
Session start cost
Set limits on the cost for initiating a charging session and get alerted if there was a session start cost, or a threshold reached.
Total session cost
Define the maximum cost for an individual session and get alerted if the charging sessions did cost more than the amount you did set as a threshold.
💡 You can configure one or more email addresses to receive a monthly email listing the breaches in your fleet.
How you will be alerted when a threshold is reached or a cost control rule is breached
When a cost control rule is breached, a yellow banner appears in Data & Insights. The banner shows the number of drivers who breached one or more cost control rules.
The avoidable column displays the exact number of breaches, marked with the ⚠️ icon.
Hover over the icon to see details about which cost control rule was breached.
Tap the yellow banner to filter the view and see only the drivers who breached one or more rules.
Clicking on a driver opens the Cost Overview side panel, where you’ll find a filtered list of all charging sessions that breached your cost control rule.
