Effi wants to offer you flexibility in how you build your Meters and how your viewers vote on them. Therefore, Effi allows you to make your Meter options pretty much anything you'd like from hashtags, to emojis, to single words, and, yes, even phrases.

Best practices for choosing meter options

  1. Make sure your options are clear. If you are looking at the audience to vote between two options, we recommend going with a one-word option, emoji, or hashtag. This way it's clear, quick, and easy for your audience to type in and get the action going.

  2. Rely on your Accepted Answers. Where using a simple hashtag or a phrase, accepted answers are there for you to add more accepted options and account for typos and misspellings. Of course, Accepted Answers, are way more crucial if you have a complicated option like something that is more than one word or words people commonly misspell.

Remember, you can add as many accepted answers as you want and they can include single words, hashtags, emojis, or phrases. So whatever you choose for your options, you always have Accepted Answers at your disposal.
