How do I join the broadcast?
You’ll receive an invite via email or an invite link. Click the link to join the Greenroom, where you’ll wait before going live.
Can I join the broadcast from my phone?
Yes, you can join from any device, including phones and tablets.
How do I select my camera?
You can select your camera upon joining the Greenroom by adjusting your audio & video settings. You can also change it during the broadcast from the settings.
Can I change my camera and mic during the broadcast?
Yes, you can switch your camera or mic at any time by accessing the audio & video settings.
Will I be notified when I go live?
Yes, you will see a live badge on your screen when you're live. You’ll also see a backstage label when the event goes live, and you may receive messages in the Private Chat.
Can I turn off my camera during a broadcast?
Yes, you can turn off your camera, but you should only do so with permission from the broadcast producer or whoever is operating Effi. You can turn it off in the audio & video settings.
Can I chat with the host or other guests during the broadcast?
Yes, you can use Private Chat to communicate with the host, producers, and other guests without the audience seeing.
Can I see what the audience is saying during the broadcast?
Yes, as a guest in the Greenroom, you will have access to Audience Chat which shows you all the incoming messages from all the platforms the broadcast is streaming to.
Can I vote on polls or meters during the broadcast?
Technically, no, guests in the Greenroom can’t participate in polls from the Greenroom. If you'd like to vote, you can watch the broadcast on a streaming platform like YouTube or Twitch and participate alongside the viewers.
Do I need any special software to join the broadcast?
No special software is needed. You just need a modern web browser, and you’ll be able to join from the invite link.
What happens if I have technical issues?
If you experience technical issues, notify the host or producer using the Private Chat. They may be able to help resolve the issue. You can also click the question mark at the bottom of the Greenroom to get access to help center articles like this one.
