Effi allows guests of your broadcast to join from any device including a phone or tablet, as long as it has a working camera and has access to a reliable internet connection.

How It Works

You can invite your guests via email or with an invite link, and all they have to do is follow the link on the device they wish to use. Whether they choose a computer or phone they will be asked to grant Effi permission to access their camera and mic and then join the Greenroom where they'll be through the duration of the broadcast.

Some tips and considerations for guests joining on their phones or tablets:

  1. While guests can join using their phones, it’s important to ensure they have a stable internet connection. For the best experience, guests should join from a location with reliable Wi-Fi to avoid connectivity issues that can impact the quality of the broadcast.

  2. We recommend they have a stand or something sturdy to prop their device on so that they a) do not have to hold it for the entirety of the broadcast and b) so that the video isn't shaky affecting the quality of your content.

  3. Make sure your guests position their phone according to how they will be laid out in the scene. For example, if they will be in a side-by-side video feed with another guest, portrait orientation is fine. However, if they will be the sole person on screen in a large video feed, it is better to position their phone horizontally in landscape mode so they fit better in the window.
