How do I report a team member sick?

Unfortunately, sometimes someone drops out due to illness. Read here how to track this in Eitje.

In case a team member is sick, there are two things that you need to take into account. This has an effect on both the planning and the time registration. First of all, this team member cannot be scheduled, and second of all, the hours (in case of a fixed contract) need to be registered as sick hours in the time registration. This way, the overtime and leave balance will remain correct.

Reporting someone sick on the schedule can be done via the sick reports in the Team panel (read here how). This ensures that the schedule indicates that this team member is sick and therefore cannot work or be scheduled. If the team member is already scheduled, you will see a conflict on the schedule.

However, the sick report through the Team panel does not automatically register sick hours. This still needs to be done in the time registration.

There are two options:

  1. This team member was already scheduled in the schedule before they became sick, so the planned hours will appear in the time registration. When approving the hours, you can then indicate that they are sick hours instead of worked hours.

  2. The team member was not yet on the schedule. You can then add hour entries in the time registration and give these the type sick hours. You can read more about it in this article.
