Export to Excel automatically

Receive your exported data automatically by email at set times.

The Custom Excels in Eitje offer a useful option to generate and send new files per e-mail when you want it.

  • Go to Data in the top menu and select Custom Excels.

  • Open the custom Excel you want to export automatically.

  • Select Export automatically from the menu on the left.

Why are automatic exports useful? You can use automatic exports to:

  • Send a report to the management team every Monday at 10:00 a.m.

  • Send an overview of hours and days worked to your accountant on the third day of every month.

  • Send a monthly overview of all teams’ leave requests to yourself and team members with the Approve leave requests role.

Set up an automatic export

For each custom Excel, including the templates, you can set up an automatic export. In the menu on the left this is the last option 'Export automatically'. On this page you can see if a setting already exists. If not, use the blue button 'Add automatic export' to set it up.

  • Which period do you want to export: Receive an export of the previous, current or next period.

  • Which type of period do you want to export: Export the data of a day, week, month, quarter or whole year.

  • When do you want to send it: Choose the exact moment you wish to receive the email.

  • Who do you want to send it to: Select specific team members, for example, team members with the role 'Approve hours'.

  • External email addresses: Add external email addresses of people who do not have an account in Eitje, for example, your accountant.

You can also pause the setting and resume it again later. Click on the existing setting to find those options:

⚠️ Note: This option is not available for ready-made Excels. In most cases you can create your own custom Excel containing the same data. A custom Excel always allows automatic exports.
