Once you have created skills and functions, you can now assign them to team members. A team member automatically gets a function assigned if they possess all the skills under that function.
You can assign skills and functions to a team member in two ways. Through the profile of a team member and on the skills page.
Through the profile of a team member
You can assign skills and functions through a team member's profile.
At the top click on the 'Team' > Team members.
Click on the team member you want to assign skills to.
Expand the functions and mark the skills you want to assign.
Track the progress of team member in achieving the function.
You can also add a fixed function to a team member. This means that the team member will always be assigned this function for any scheduled shifts on the planning. Read more here about using functions on the schedule.
At the top click on the 'Team' > Team members.
Select the relevant team member.
On the left side, click on 'Skills'.
Click on 'Fixed function on schedule' in the top right corner.
Select the function you want to assign to this team member. This will be automatically saved.
⚠️ Note: You can assign only one fixed function per team member. The team member will also receive a function badge in their profile.
On the skills page
At the top click on the 'Knowledge' > Handbook.
Then, click on 'Assign skills' at the top right.
You can now quickly assign skills and functions to different team members.
If you click the checkbox next to a function, all the skills under this function will be marked. You can also assign a skill individually.
