What notifications do team members receive?

Through this article, you'll learn about the notifications that are sent to your team members.

To keep your team members informed about certain matters in Eitje, we use notifications. A notification is another word for a message or an alert. For example, team members receive a message when you post a news item or when their leave request has been approved.


Types of notifications

Team members can receive notifications in three different ways:

  • App notifications: If team members downloaded the Eitje app, they receive notifications via their mobile phones. App notifications are short messages or alerts that appear on the screen, also known as push notifications.

  • Browser notifications: If team members use the web browser, they also receive push notifications from Eitje. Our browser notifications are the same as our app notifications.

  • Emails: For same matters, team members are (also) kept informed via their mailbox.


Overview of notifications in Eitje

In the table below, you'll find a list of all possible notifications to a team member. For each notification, you can see how it is sent: via a push notification (app or browser notifications) and/or via email.

Notifications per role

Team members with the Admin, Manager or Contract role receive extra notifications, depending on their role.

This article tells you how to add the role and what extra rights, other than the notifications, the different roles have.


Notification settings

You can decide which notifications you want to receive and which not. You can find the notification settings in the web version of Eitje:

  1. Navigate to Team > My Profile.

  2. Click on the round, blue button in the upper right corner to adjust your personal information.

  3. Navigate to "Settings & notifications."

As shown in the screenshot below, team members can disable the email and browser notifications. If you turn off email notifications, you will no longer receive emails about new shifts being published. Other emails are still being sent.


Want to turn off app notifications? That can only be done through the settings on your phone or tablet.

  • Team members with the Manager role can also manage emails about new shifts and upcoming anniversaries.

  • Team members with the Contract role can also manage emails about new shifts and expiring contracts.

  • Team members with the Admin role can also manage emails about new shifts, upcoming anniversaries and expiring contracts.
