Utilizing VaultKeys for Large Transfers

VaultKeys allow users to make larger transfers than the $2,500 daily limit.

What are VaultKeys?

VaultKey is a term Elevault uses for account numbers that can be created to pay and get paid, functioning similarly to traditional ACH routing/account numbers. You can have an unlimited number of VaultKeys, even if they are all connected to one Vault. They allow you to pay bills, set up direct deposits, and more. You also have full control over them such as disabling, enabling, and switching what Vault they are connected to.

Creating VaultKeys:

You can create VaultKeys two ways: Through a Vault, or through the VaultKeys menu option!

Creating a VaultKey in a Vault:

  1. Click the Vault you want the VaultKey to be connected to

  2. Click the ... at the top right

  3. Click VaultKeys

  4. Click the green 🔑 at the top right

  5. Now you can name the VaultKey and ensure the correct Vault is selected!

Creating a VaultKey from the menu:

  1. Click the menu at the top right

  2. Click Manage VaultKeys

  3. Click +New VaultKey

  4. Now you can name the VaultKey and choose the Vault you would like attached!

Transferring With VaultKeys:

Once the VaultKey is created, contact your bank on how you can utilize the account and routing number created with your VaultKey to make a transfer. Typically, this is completed through your mobile banking app.

⭐VaultKeys are subject to your bank's ACH daily limit when using them to make transfers.

It has come to our attention that Discover and USAA Bank are currently experiencing issues processing transfers when using Elevault's routing number. As a result, transaction attempts using the VaultKey account and routing number may not be completed successfully. To ensure smooth processing, all transfers involving Discover and USAA should be conducted using the linked account method available within Elevault.
