Walk me through enrollment

Here is a step-by-step guide to enrolling with Elevault.

Updated this week

Download Elevault

As a mobile app, Elevault is currently only available for download for iOS. In order to use it, you will need to download it from the App Store.

An Android® version is in-production and is expected to be released on the Google Play Store™ in the late summer/early fall of 2024. Please join the Android waitlist to stay updated on its launch!

What you'll need

We take your security very seriously here at Team Elevault, so to create an account, you'll need:

  • Your social security number

  • A valid driver's license or state-issued ID

  • A valid checking or savings account

You must also be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to create an Elevault account.

Setting up your profile

Once you've downloaded Elevault, here are the steps you'll take to create your account.

1.) Let us know who you are.

  • Enter your name, social security number, and phone number.

  • Tap Continue.

2.) Confirm your mobile number.

  • We'll text you a 6-digit confirmation code to verify your phone number.

  • Enter that code and tap Continue.

3.) Scan your ID.

  • If prompted, tap OK to give Elevault access to your camera so it can scan your ID.

  • Hold your phone's camera above the back of your driver's license or state-issued ID so the camera can scan the large barcode.

    • Your ID's barcode should automatically scan, but if it doesn't, please check out our Scanning Tips.

4.) Confirm your address.

  • Your street address will auto-fill with the address on your ID.

    • If everything looks right, tap Confirm.

    • If you need to edit your address, tap the fields you wish you update to fill in the correct info, then tap Confirm.

    • This address should be the place where you physically live.

5.) Review & accept agreements.

  • Tap the check box to accept your E-Sign Agreement.

  • Scroll to the bottom of your Terms & Conditions and tap I Agree.

    • You can always find a copy of your agreements on our website and in the Documents & Agreements section of the app's menu.

6.) Add your email address.

  • Finish creating your profile by adding your email address and tapping Continue.

  • We'll email you a 6-digit confirmation code to verify your email address.

  • Enter that code and tap Continue.

Your email address will be the username you use to log in to your Elevault account, and where we will send you alerts and updates about your account, so make sure you enter one that you keep track of regularly! 🙂

7.) Secure your account.

  • Create your password. We highly recommend choosing a unique password that you don't use anywhere else. Avoid using any names, dates, phrases, etc. that would be easily guessed by someone else.

  • Accept (or reject) using biometric login, like Face ID or Touch ID.

  • Create your login PIN. Enter a 5-digit numeric code you can use to confirm your identity when logging in. Like with your password, please avoid any series of numbers that would be easily guessable by someone else.

Linking your bank account

There are two ways to connect your bank account to Elevault: instantly via Plaid or manually via micro-deposits.

Link your bank instantly

  • Tap Continue → Link My First Account → Automatically with Plaid.

  • Review Plaid's info and tap Continue.

  • Select your bank from the list.

    • If you do not see your bank on the initial list, type the name of your bank in the search bar at the top.

    • If your bank does not come up from the search bar, you will likely need to link your account manually.

  • Log in with your regular online banking credentials.

    • You will likely receive a verification code depending on the security settings you've set up with your bank.

  • Confirm the link between your bank account and Elevault.

Link your bank account manually

  • On the Link an Account screen, tap the Manually with Trial Deposits link beneath the Automatically with Plaid button.

  • Enter your account number, routing number, and account name.

    • You can also add a custom nickname to this bank account here if you'd like.

  • Tap Start Linking.

    • In 1-3 business days, Elevault will send you two small deposits. Once you have them, return to Elevault to finish linking your bank account.

  • When you open Elevault, you'll be prompted to finalize your linking.

    • Follow the prompts to the Confirm Deposits screen, and enter the two trial deposit amounts we sent to your bank account.

    • Tap Continue.

Note: You will see (3) total line items in your bank's transactions: (2) small deposits and (1) withdrawal of both deposits.

Make sure to only enter the two deposit amounts, not the withdrawal amount!

You did it!

As soon as your bank account is linked, you are ready to start using Elevault! 🎉
