You may have heard that Southern Bancorp is changing its name to Uplift Bank™. We wanted to let you know what that means for you as an Elevault customer.
The short answer: Elevault isn’t changing, and there’s nothing you need to do.
Beginning October 26th, 2026, Southern Bancorp, the bank behind Elevault, will begin operating under its new name, Uplift Bank™. The new name better reflects the bank’s longstanding mission of expanding financial opportunity and helping people build stronger financial futures.
While the bank’s name and visual identity are changing, Elevault will remain the same digital savings experience you know today.
There is no change in ownership of Elevault or your account as a result of this name change. Elevault will continue to be a product of the same bank, backed by the same banking organization. Your account, the way you use Elevault, and the FDIC insurance protecting eligible deposits are not changing because of the new name.
Starting October 26th, you will begin seeing Uplift Bank™ in places where you previously saw Southern Bancorp, including Elevault disclosures, communications, and other banking information. When you see Uplift Bank™, know that it’s simply the new name of the bank behind Elevault—not a new bank and not a change to Elevault.
Same Elevault. Same bank. New bank name.
