What Changed (Effective May 1,2026)
We updated how multi-currency works across the platform. The short version: your wallet now works the way you'd expect it to.
Previously, there was a mismatch between what you set as a reward and what actually got debited from your wallet. A $10 CAD reward (~$7.30 USD) would still debit $10 USD from your account and not the true cost.
How It Works
You set a single currency for your brand account. Every reward you create is denominated in that currency, and your wallet is debited the true cost in that same currency. No more over-debiting, no more reconciliations.
When an associate cashes out, the platform converts their reward to their local currency at the live exchange rate at the time of withdrawal. That conversion happens on their end, not yours.
Example: You set a $10 USD reward. A Canadian associate completes a qualifying sale. When they cash out, they receive approximately $13.70 CAD based on the current rate. Your wallet is debited $10 USD, exactly what you set.
Associates will also see the currency label on rewards directly in the app (e.g., $10 USD), so there's no ambiguity about what they're earning.
What This Means for You
Predictable spend. Your wallet is debited in your brand currency at face value. What you set is what you pay.
No more reconciliations. The old mismatch between reward currency and wallet deduction is gone.
Associates handle their own conversion. The platform converts their earnings at cashout. You don't need to account for it.
Transparent for associates. Rewards display with a currency label in the mobile app, so associates always know exactly what they're earning.
Changing Your Brand Currency
Your brand currency is set to the currency that makes the most sense for where you primarily run campaigns.
If you anticipate launching primarily to the Canadian market and want to set your rewards in CAD, you can update this in your brand portal:
Account Management → Brand Settings → Currency
⚠️ We recommend confirming your currency setting before launching new campaigns. Once rewards are set and associates begin earning, changing your currency mid-campaign may cause confusion.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to do anything for this change to take effect? No action is required. The update took effect May 1 and applies automatically to your account. You can review or update your brand currency under Account Management → Brand Settings → Currency.
What currency is my account currently set to? You can check your current currency setting in your brand portal under Account Management → Brand Settings → Currency.
What if I run campaigns across both the US and Canada? You'll set one brand currency, and associates in either market will receive the equivalent in their local currency when they cash out. You're only ever debited in your brand currency.
Will this affect campaigns that were already running before May 1? Submissions made before the change took effect were processed under the old system (paid in the store's local currency). Submissions after May 1 follow the new model, debited from your wallet in your brand currency.
Can I still see a breakdown of reward activity? Yes. Your reports and wallet ledger reflect all activity in your brand currency, making it easier to track spend and reconcile against your budget.
