Error: "Please check that the customer phone number is valid" on financing

How to resolve the financing application error asking to check the customer's phone number by ensuring the phone number on file is a text-enabled cell number rather than a landline.

If you receive the following error on a financing loan application please verify that the customer phone number is correct: "Error: Please check that the customer phone number is valid."

This error occurs because the associated phone number for the customer has to be a text enabled line - essentially it has to be a cell number and not a land line. If the number is not a text enabled number this error message will appear and the Sales Rep will not be able to move through the Sales Flow for financing. Have the Sales Rep enter in a different number that is text enabled and complete the financing page questions to move through the application.
