Finalizing a proposal

How to finalize a proposal in Enerflo and what happens when you need to make changes afterward, including how to unfinalize and the impact on any signed agreement.

Written by Emilie

To finalize a proposal, click the "Finalize" button located beneath the proposal you wish to move forward with, then click "Confirm".

Alternatively, a proposal can also be finalized by clicking the double arrows in the top right corner while viewing the proposal.

Making Changes After Finalizing

  • If a deal has been finalized but you want to switch to a different proposal, go to the Proposals tab and click "Unfinalize" on the current proposal.

  • If the agreement has already been signed, the existing agreement will be voided when the proposal is unfinalized.

  • If clicking Unfinalize on the proposal returns an error or doesn't complete, try voiding the associated install agreement instead — voiding a signed agreement will also unfinalize the proposal it's tied to. This is a useful fallback when the direct Unfinalize action isn't working.

Note for Thrive deals: Thrive deals can no longer be unfinalized once the project reaches milestone M1. If Unfinalize is unavailable on a Thrive deal, the deal has passed M1 and cannot be unfinalized through this process. Contact Enerflo Support if a change is still required after this point.

Troubleshooting: Unfinalize or Void Isn't Working

If clicking Unfinalize or Void doesn't complete, check whether the financier's plugin has been deactivated for your org — unfinalizing requires the tied lender plugin to be active.

To resolve:

  1. An org admin goes to Settings > Plugins.

  2. Locate the lender plugin tied to the proposal and temporarily reactivate it.

  3. Unfinalize the proposal and make the needed changes.

  4. Deactivate the plugin again afterward if it's no longer an approved financier.

If the proposal is a Thrive deal past milestone M1, this troubleshooting step will not apply — Unfinalize is intentionally blocked at that point regardless of plugin status.

Viewing Older Proposals

If a previously finalized proposal is too old or its design data can no longer load in Optimus, Enerflo will display a static PDF of the proposal instead of the live view. This PDF is generated automatically at the time of finalization, so proposal details remain accessible even if the live version can't be rendered.

Downloading the Shade Report

You do not need to unfinalize a proposal to download the shade report. The shade report is accessible directly from the design card at any time — including when the proposal is finalized and a contract is active.

To download the shade report:

  1. On the deal, click the design card.

  2. The shade report download button is located directly below the design image at the top of the design card.

  3. Click it to download.

⚠️ Important: Do not unfinalize the proposal just to access the shade report. Unfinalizing will void any signed contracts — this step is unnecessary.
