The problem
When a rep adds a battery in Aurora and syncs the design to Enerflo, the battery does not automatically appear in Enerflo's design card or proposal pricing.
This is a known limitation of the Aurora integration. Aurora syncs panel layout, system size, and inverter data — but battery equipment must be added to the Enerflo design card separately, every time.
Why this is especially risky with the Tesla Powerwall 3
The Tesla Powerwall 3 has a built-in (integrated) inverter. Because of this, Aurora classifies it as an inverter and pushes it into Enerflo as inverter equipment only. The battery storage component is not included.
The result: the Powerwall 3 appears on the proposal and contract as the inverter, but the customer is not being charged for battery storage. The battery must be added manually on the Enerflo design card or it will not be priced into the deal.
How to add a battery to the Enerflo design card
After syncing your Aurora design to Enerflo, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Designs stage of your deal.
Click on the design card to open it.
Click the dropdown arrow next to the Modify Design button.
Select + Add Battery from the dropdown menu.
Choose the correct battery from the list and confirm.
Click Update Design and Save.
Open the proposal editing screen and click Save and Update Pricing.
The battery will now appear on the proposal and be included in the total price.
📌 Important: This step must be completed every time a battery is part of the deal, even if the battery was already added in Aurora.
How to verify the battery is priced correctly
Before presenting the proposal to a customer, confirm:
The battery appears on the Design Card under the equipment list.
The battery is reflected in the total system cost on the proposal.
Special case: battery-only deals
If you are selling a battery-only deal (no new solar panels), do not start from an Aurora design sync. Instead:
Use the Existing System / Battery Only deal template in Enerflo.
Add the battery directly to the Enerflo design card.
Select the appropriate lender or cash option.
For step by step instructions on battery only deals, see this article.
Still need help?
If the required battery is not appearing in the + Add Battery dropdown, the battery model may not be set up in the installer's equipment catalog. Contact the installer if you believe this is incorrect. Enerflo Support can check available equipment, but cannot add any except on instruction from the installer.
