How to Edit an E-Signature Document

Learn how to update Documents for signature in Enrollsy

READ THIS BEFORE YOU DELETE ANYTHING!

DO NOT delete any E-signature Document until you have read this article. If you delete the E-signature Document template, all instances of that Document will no longer be viewable in Enrollsy.

Once you create an original E-signature Document(s), we know you may need to update them at some point. These are the options you have when needing to update an E-signature Document.

We suggest you retain the history of your E-signature Documents and upload new documents that need to be edited. Follow these steps.

Step 1 - Download the E-Signature Document and Edit

Download the document by going to My Company > Forms > Documents. Click on the down arrow beside the document you need to edit.

You can then edit the PDF by using a PDF editor or converting it to a document and back to a PDF. There are many free websites that do this. We like https://www.ilovepdf.com/

Step 2 - Upload the New E-signature Document

After editing the document, upload the new E-signature Document. You can name the documents by the year or Enrollment Period. You do this by clicking the plus sign under "E-signature Documents. "

TIP: Look at your previous E-signature Document for how it was set up and do the same for the new document.

Step 3 - Edit Enroll Form Fields

If you have any fields that need to be edited, you will need to do that first before we copy the fields. Any required fields on the Enroll Form will also be required on the E-signature Document.

NOTE: Be careful before deleting Enroll Form questions! Deleting any fields a customer has previously answered will ERASE that question/field from the customer's account and DELETE the customer's answer. See this article for better options if you need to remove a field.

Step 4 - Copy Fields

We can assist with this process by copying and pasting the original fields from a previous E-signature Document onto the new document. The fields must be nearly the exact same for us to do this.

If the fields are significantly different, you will need to map the fields yourself. Please browse through this support article for assistance with our Design Editor and how to map fields.

Instructions to get fields copied:

  • Contact us via Support Chat in the Enrollsy app

  • Tell us the name of the original E-signature Document and the name of the new E-signature Document.

  • It may take 1-2 business days to get this done. Please let us know if you are on a time crunch and need it done sooner.

We will contact you once the fields have been mapped and will send you a test E-signature email for you to go through and ensure it is correct.
