What Private (Self-Managed) Contests Are Available for NCAAB (March Madness)?

For March Madness, Splash Sports offers a variety of Private (Self-Managed) contest formats. These formats allow commissioners to run their contests using Splash tools while managing payments and payouts outside of the platform.

Available NCAAB (March Madness) Self-Managed Formats

Here are the current Self-Managed formats available for NCAAB:

NCAAB Men’s Bracket

  • Classic March Madness bracket format for the men’s tournament

  • Participants fill out their brackets and earn points based on correct picks

  • Commissioner can customize scoring and rules

NCAAB Women’s Bracket

  • Same structure as the men’s bracket, but for the women’s tournament

  • Great option for groups following both tournaments

  • Fully customizable scoring and settings

NCAAB Tournament Squares

  • Grid-style contest (similar to football squares)

  • Participants are assigned squares that correspond to game outcomes

  • Winners are determined based on predefined scoring intervals

  • Only available for Men's Tournament

NCAAB Survivor (Pick by Round)

  • Participants pick one team per round to win

  • If their team wins, they advance to the next round

  • Teams can typically only be used once (based on settings)

  • Last remaining entrant wins

NCAAB Survivor (Pick by Day)

  • Participants pick a winning team each day of the tournament

  • More frequent engagement with daily pick deadlines

  • Optional features like double pick days or combined slates may be available

Important Notes

  • All of these formats are Private (Self-Managed)

  • Splash Sports provides the contest structure, but commissioners handle payments and payouts externally

  • Some formats may have additional customization options depending on the contest type

Key Reminder

Choosing the right format depends on your group’s preferences—whether you want a simple bracket, a daily engagement experience, or a survivor-style challenge.
