A Private NCAAB Survivor Contest is a self-managed contest where you run the contest independently. This means you are responsible for collecting entry fees and distributing payouts outside of the Splash Sports platform.
Step 1: Log In to Your Splash Sports Account
Start by signing in to your Splash Sports account.
Once logged in, navigate to the Create A Contest tab to begin the setup process.
Step 2: Select the NCAAB Survivor Format
Within the contest creation flow:
Navigate to the NCAAB category
Select NCAAB Survivor Contest from the available formats
This will open the Survivor contest setup options.
Step 3: Choose By Round or By Day
Survivor contests come in two variations — pick the one that matches how you want picks to work:
By Day (this guide) — one pick locks in per tournament day instead of per round
By Round — one pick locks in per tournament round, covering multiple games at once
Select Survivor By Day to follow the rest of this guide.
Step 4: Choose Private (Self-Managed)
To create a Self-Managed contest:
Choosing this option ensures your contest is set up as self-managed, meaning:
Splash Sports does not collect entry fees
Splash Sports does not handle payouts
All payments and prize distribution are managed by you
What "Self-Managed" Means
Self-Managed contests are ideal for private groups, office contests, or friend leagues that prefer to handle money separately.
With this setup:
You control entry collection
You manage payouts directly
The platform provides scoring, picks, and standings only
Once you complete these steps and finalize your settings, your Self-Managed NCAAB Survivor Contest will be ready to share with participants.
If you're unsure whether a self-managed or platform-managed contest is right for you, our support team is happy to help.
