NFL Pick'em (Private Contests): Other Scoring Levers Commissioners Can Pull

What It Does

Weighted Scoring / Point Values

Individual games can be worth more than 1 point ("Point Value," 1–20), and each week can carry its own multiplier (e.g., a Week 1 game worth 2 points becomes 4 points under a 2× week multiplier). This can even be edited retroactively for weeks that already happened — affected users are emailed and scores are recalculated.

Drop Worst Week

Commissioners can have the system automatically drop an entrant's worst week (or up to their worst ten weeks) from the season total — useful for forgiving one bad week. A "Last Drop Week" setting caps how late in the season a week can still be dropped.

Tiebreakers

A weekly score-prediction tiebreaker, plus fully customizable, reorderable tiebreaker cascades for both the season-long/segment leaderboard and the weekly leaderboard. See the Tiebreakers section for the full breakdown.

Summary: Beyond the core format, commissioners can make individual games or weeks worth more points, forgive an entrant's worst week(s), and set up detailed tiebreaker rules to settle ties on either the season or weekly leaderboard.
