Segments
Setting | What It Does | Default | All Available Options | Notes for CS |
Segments | Sub-contests over a custom range of weeks (e.g., "Regular Season," "Bowl Season") with their own leaderboard. | Off | Off; On — any number of segments, each covering any mix of weeks | Segment names are custom. Can add or delete segments any time, including retroactively for weeks already played. |
Summary: Segments let a commissioner carve the season into its own mini-competitions — like a "Regular Season Champion" or "Bowl Season Only" leaderboard — running alongside the overall season standings. This is especially useful in CFB contests that run into Bowl Mode, since a commissioner may want the regular season and bowl slate scored as separate mini-competitions.
Tiebreakers
Setting | What It Does | Default | All Available Options | Notes for CS |
Weekly Tiebreaker | A predicted-score guess on a designated game, used to break ties. | Off | Off; On | A missed guess defaults to 0. Editable until someone has picked that week (per-week lock). |
Tiebreaker Game | Which game is used for the tiebreaker guess. | Last game on the picksheet | Last game on picksheet; Commissioner-selected specific game per week | Requires Weekly Tiebreaker = On. Editable until someone has picked that week (per-week lock). |
Overall / Segment / Weekly Leaderboard Tiebreakers (cascade) | Ordered tiebreak criteria for the season-long and segment leaderboards. | Points → Wins → Tie Game Points | Points (always active, can never be removed); Wins; Tie Game Points (requires Weekly Tiebreaker = On); Tie Game Pick (requires Weekly Tiebreaker = On); Best Pick Wins (only meaningful with Best Pick on); # of Auto Picks Used, lower wins (requires Auto Picks = On); Win %; Win Margin | Commissioner can add, remove, and reorder any available option at any time; unavailable options aren't shown. Over/Under picks factor into Win Margin (e.g., picking the over on a 55-point total that lands at 65 adds +10 to Win Margin). |
Summary: The Weekly Tiebreaker is a single score-prediction guess used to settle close weekly finishes. Separately, commissioners build a cascade — an ordered list of criteria — that decides ties on the season/segment leaderboard, falling through each criterion in order until a tie is broken. Points is the only criterion that can never be removed.
Groups
Setting | What It Does | Default | All Available Options | Notes for CS |
Groups | Team-style sub-leaderboards (e.g., "Alumni" vs. "Students") combining every member's stats. | Off | Off; On — any number of named groups | Commissioner assigns entrants to groups; one entrant can only belong to one group at a time. |
Summary: Groups turn an individual competition into a team competition — useful for alumni chapters, fan clubs, or campus groups that want a team-vs-team standing on top of the individual leaderboard.
